Adjusting Well

Everything is going great here. Rebecca is growing really well. She is now up to 6 lbs 10oz and is eating constantly as newborns do. With her being as fragile as she is, I had the kids wait a week until they could hold her. They were also getting over colds when she first came home. They were very excited to finally get to hold her. They all love having a new baby sister.Jacob says that he loves Baby Rebecca now even though he wanted a brother.
Elizabeth is a big help. She loves to get me diapers and help hold the bottle for Rebecca. She thinks she's really hot stuff now that she is a big sister.

Sarah thinks that Rebecca's mode of eating is really gross and swears that she never did that when she was a baby.

That is sooo cute! Thanks for posting! Rebecca is looking great! How much longer will she have to be on oxygen? She is so cute, and doesn't have the "preemie" look at all! :)

I thought the same thing Leighann! She looks less like a preemie then your other kids did. Everyone looks great. So glad things are going good at home.

Thanks for saying she looks good. It takes a lot of work to get her that way. I nurse her on both sides, pump and then give her the bottle with a little added calorie booster. It takes about an hour to feed her and then she is hungry again in about two hours after I am done. She's worth it, though.
I have a doctor's appointment (4th ths week) on Friday that will give me an idea of how long she will be on the oxygen. Right now I'm thinking about a month.

Rebecca is looking good and healthy. How are you doing, Gwen? All the kids look so natural holding their baby sister.
