I'm a Straight A Student!!

So, today I got a 100% on my Accounting final!! :)
Last week was my Comms final (a general education requirement) and I got full points on it, too!
And today after work I went to ask my World of Islam professor ( a class that fulfills two of the general ed requirements) about an attendance mistake, which he fixed, and then he told me that he could tell that I am very studious, and even if I failed the final, he will give me an A in the class because 1) he knows I won't fail the final, and 2) he appreciates my class participation and 3) I was one of three students that got a perfect score on the midterm :)

But also, he said he knows that I am a good Mormon, and that I remind him of his good Mormon friends who are all wonderful and studious people. That was probably my favorite part of our meeting today, because we were able to talk about the Church!

I feel really blessed right now, and just wanted to share with the family! I have had three missionary moments today: 1) with my World of Islam professor, 2) a Vietnamese girl in my Accounting class that I have befriended over the course of the semester asked me if I was Mormon after telling her about Mark and Van, and she told me that she had met with the missionaries before and really, really likes the Church. Since my friend Ashley was there to, it was a really natural way to talk about some of the basic tenets of the Church since Anabell (the Vietnamese girl) knew some basics herself and was really touting how wonderful it is Mormons are so family oriented and traditional, and 3) tonight at Institute I saw a girl walking to her car, and I knew she wasn't a member, but I felt really strongly like I needed to yell out to her (since I was across the parking lot) that there was hot chocolate and cookies inside. As I walked into the building, I thought, "Well, I did my part, I yelled out to her and now it's her decision" and can you believe it! I saw her about five minutes later in the hallway with a cookie in her hand! So we got talking, and I invited her to stop in every Tuesday night, and explained Institute a little to her. It was AWESOME!! I felt like a missionary again!! :)

I wish there was an actual Institute building here near campus, where it would be easier to invite people to come and relax in between campus. I keep forgetting to ask Tommy about the procedure, and I know the Church isn't okaying more buildings, but Brother Andrews told me that our Institute was okayed by the Church to have it's own building, and that is why there is a big grassy spot by the Church where the Institute building was suppose to be. I think it would be really great, especially because CSUSB has big plans to increase the student population, and more and more people like my two roommates and a few others we know have felt strongly inpressed to come to school at this University...

Anyway, I love you all, and miss you!! I can't wait to see Dad and Mom, Heather, Aaron, and David, Heather, Tommy and meet Jane for Christmas!! Wish I could see everyone!! I'm really grateful Tommy and Magi et all, and Greg, Heather and Sydnie are so close- I've loved being able to see them so much lately.

Whew, you know I can't ever keep anything short!! :) Love you all!!

We're proud of you, sweetheart. Your brothers all, too, became serious students after their missions!
