My Washington DC trip!

so i got to go to the inuaguration with some kids from the school in the Smithsonian program. it was awsome! cold, very very cold, and very very crowded (1 porta potty to every 400 ppl!) but looking back, very worth it! i say that because at the time i would have rather sat at the hotel and watched it- we had to wait/walk constantly for 7 hours and were on our feet for more than 12 hours straight. that part wasnt fun.
anyways, here are some pictures i took throughout the week.

my favorite part? the wax museum and the inaugural ball i got to go to (leighann, there was NO ballroom dancing of any kind :( it was like a big 2 hr prom with a whole bunch ofdifferent schools. still fun, but not what we were expecting)

What a bummer! No ballroom?!?! :)

Sounds like you had a blast, and I am so happy for you! Who is that wax sculpture supposed to be that you posed with? Did you take more pictures? Did you meet any cute boys at the prom? Did my dress make it out okay? ;) Mom told me you were interviewed by an Italian radio station? Do you remember the name? Why did you have to walk constantly? How far away were you from the Inauguration proceedings? My roommate Sarah is very jealous you got to be there, by the way. :) Love you and am glad you are home safe!!

Boy, Leighann is full of questions, isn't she. I think you may just have to actually talk to eachother. :) What a concept in this world we live in.

haha i know, so many questions! ill answer them on here tho so other people can know.
the wax figure is J-Lo, i took a LOT more pictures (over 200 throughout the week), yes, there were cute boys at the prom but i dont remember their names or where they were from. i danced with this kinda nerdy guy from rhode island i think it was. I did get to be better friends with my friend Anthony from here and he started liking me. and yes leighann, your dress is perfectly fine i promise :)
ya, i was interviewed by an italian guy for a radio station in italy, but i wasnt told the name. it was just kinda a spur of the moment thing, but it was awsome.
we had to walk constantly on the day of the inauguration because there were so many people and so many streets were blocked off that we had to walk around them and the directions we were told by the guards kept getting changed. we werent as close as we were supposed to be. there were soooo many people that took our spot so we got pushed back from 4th street where we were supposed to be, to 11th street. so we didnt see much :( but it was still fun
love you

That wax sculpture does not look like J-Lo at all. Of course, I'm sure it looks more like J-Lo than I could have made a ball of wax look like...

It is late, I am tired, and have been studying a long time- I had to read your response two times to see it was J-Lo, and get my tired mind to understand "Not 'Jello'"

I don't think it looks like J-Lo either. Glad you had fun, what a great opportunity. And I'm glad to see I picked a bride's maid dress that could be used more than once. It looks great on you.

it looked more like her in real life than it does in this picture i think. i got pictures with a bunch of other stars too. the women were better done then the men i think
and ya, thank you melissa! that dress has gotten a lot of use!
