well, i just found out i got accepted into BYU in Utah! so i can either go to Idaho or Utah...
however, i applied for the fall semester for BYU, Provo, but they couldnt start me then, so i was accepted into the summer semester, which starts June 22nd... my senior vacation is already set for july, so if i went to utah, id have to miss a week of school...which kinda freaks me out cause im already nervous for college and all that. i dont really know what college would be like so i wouldnt want to risk missing a week...
so im a little disappointed, i feel like the decision of Idaho or Utah has been made for me...
i dont know, i guess i'll just have to pray a lot about it and research each school more and all that.
I am happy i was accepted though, even if it wasnt for the right term.

So, have you been accepted to BYU (Provo)? I have lots of kids here that go up for the Summer sessions- which anyone can go to- but they are not allowed to stay for the fall/Winter semesters. It also makes it impossible to get a degree from BYU by only going to the Summer terms.
I am only asking because if you can then stay for the fall term, then you are accepted.

I vote for THE BYU! You can go on vacation any time, but to get in BYU you should go now. BYU (which is the only BYU- the other is BYU-Idaho) is a better school. While it would be more expensive, it is definitely more prestigious and you will get to be around strong return missionaries- who are really going places. Obviously, Idaho is not a bad choice, so either will be good, but I vote for my alma mater-B Y U!!! Go Cougs!
Heather we know you will do great no matter here you go! But we still of course vote THE "Y" because 1. Tom went there and he turned out OK(just joking Tom!)the school is great and if I could go I would but alas I couldn't. 2. Utah has a lot of great sites like Rachel and Melissa and me don't forget the five temples between THE "Y" and Bountiful just north of SLC 3. Tom is right, it is a great school with an amazing Reputation and an outstanding curriculum!
My niece, Dianne is going to BYU-Idaho and she absolutly loves it. She even needs another room mate in the fall. The appartment holds six girls and they have a kitchen with a lounge and stuff. Dianne said they are a lot better than the dorm room she was in this last year. Dianne's friend's little sister is going to be there as well, so you wouldn't be the only freshman.
Just do what YOU want to do. That is what is important.
I agree with Gwen, you should go where you want to and where you think you will be the happiest. If you decide on BYU Provo, I would suggest forgoing your senior trip so you don't miss any classes. Summer term goes by much faster so its harder to make up a weeks worth of work. Have you already paid for your trip?

wow gwen, i think that just got me really excited, and even more confused! id be homesick im sure no matter where i go, so to know someone whos related distantly in some way would help! and not being the only freshman...and what mel said about it being hard to make up missing classes in the summer...that just got me a bit more worried id fall behind...
mom said she bought the airplane tickets, but that they are easily changeable...
ah! i dont know what im gunna do! i had my interview for the patriarchal (so didnt spell that right) blessing so im gunna get that soon...maybe that will help.
