Here is the video (<
I know that talking to a parent about something bad you've seen could be really scary to go and do. When I was younger, I was scared that I would get in trouble or get yelled at if I said that I had seen something bad or heard something bad. But I was SO wrong. I learned that over time. I was wrong because it wasn't MY fault, and I was confused and needed to tell my mom or dad. And when I did, I didn't get in trouble or get yelled at. They didn't blame me. They thanked me for telling them and they helped me understand what I saw and why I was feeling so bad and what I could do if it happened again.
This video shows kids/preteens telling their parents and none of the adults are angry or punish the kid. They teach them and love them! And the kids are better off because of that conversation. So don't be embarrassed or scared to talk to your mom or dad, to a grandparent, to an aunt or uncle, a Sunday School teacher or Young Men/Young Women's leader, or a trusted school teacher and always talk to Heavenly Father. Because when it comes to pornography, there's no time to delay talking about it or asking for help. There's no time to brush it off and expect it will never happen again. It's there, and it's something this generation has to deal with and fight against! And it has the instant power to make you more curious.
My favorite line in the video is towards the end when it says: "Just because you saw pornography and just because it made you curious or interested, doesn't mean you're a bad person. Remember that many people love you. Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love you, no matter what!"
No matter what! Whether you've been lucky enough to have never come in contact with pornography yet or if you've seen it a lot--many people love you and Jesus and Heavenly Father love you! That's a good reminder to ALL of us, not just the kids!
I love all you kids and wish Uncle Roy and I could see you more often! Thanks for letting me share this message with you!

Thank you for posting this Heather, this is something my Heather and I have been discussing lately. We've already had "the talk" with Tommy, but it wasn't until only recently that I realize how early this can start in children, even Homeschooling isn't enough to keep our kids protected from bad influences. (Sleezy magazine covers in the check-out lines at the store upset Tommy, we had a good chat about it)
This is a good topic to discuss with the kids. Thanks for posting Heather. Love you.
