Hey all,
I was going to just send Tom an email directly, but then thought there might be other resources available to other people in the family that might be beneficial, so I'm posting this here.
My question is, does anyone have any networks - like through school, like BYU Alumni, or CES, or whatever, where you could send out the word about potential job opportunities? For example, the local wards here have a ward email lister where people can post things like "In search of a babysitter", "New job opportunity", "Need help moving", etc.
I'm asking because we have several job openings here for Programmers who know C#. Theres also an opening for a Unity Game Programmer. If any of you know anyone looking for employment in this nasty economic environment, or can list job openings to any networking sites, these are great jobs. I'll be spreading the word where I can, but if any of you have a ward lister or whatever, you might be able to help someone looking for a way to support their family in this nasty job market.
The job descriptions are here: http://filollc.com/jobs
The positions we are most in need of filling are the Unity Programmer position: http://filollc.com/node/24
and the C# .NET Developer position: http://filollc.com/net_dev_1
http://filollc.com/net_dev_2
I'm going to be sending these links to the main church employment office website too, but it often yields better results if you know the people applying personally.
Love you all!
Dave

but David...is this a nasty job market?? Or is it just a nasty job market?
:) Love you! I'll spread the word here, but most of the people I know are poor college kids still attending school.
I will let my ward and Stake employment specialist know about these openings! thanks
Do they have to know C+, because if they do not I have a couple of people that I would be glad to send to Virginia!!! (I am just kidding.... sort of)
Haha, Tommy, so funny!
I was just reading an article the other day about how there is a lack of supply of qualified people in this industry, and was thinking maybe I should go get a certificate and start teaching myself some of this stuff. I've heard accountants that are also tech saavy are in high demand as well :D I'll pass this on to my bishop and RS Pres, but I am amazed at how stubborn Southern CA people are in leaving this place!! Well, maybe not in the High Desert, but here in the Inland Empire...
