Dad and I were talking about the next reunion. I know we had thought about coming to Missouri again, but we'd like to throw out another idea or two.
With so many in our family in CA (and Aaron and Shannon planning to be there next summer working), how about we have the reunion in So CA. We could investigate the timeshares at Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear so the CA people would feel like it was a vacation for them, too. (I don't think it'd be possible to get any coastal resort.) We could all go to Disneyland:)
Or we could go back up to Reno like our first reunion.
Or we could all stay at Greg and Heather's - HA!
Or we could invade Shannon's parents - another HA!

I just remembered Tom and Magi have a pool. So we could all stay at their house!
I really liked going to Reno the first year. It would be great to do that again. So CA would be fun, too. I'm sure my mom would like it. :-)
well i personally love the idea and i think a spot by a lake would be great! plus as you and dad saw by my reaction today at lunch i LOVE disneyland!
what would be the closest temple we could all go too if it was at arrowhead or big bear? i just dont know where in relation to gregs place that is, so ya!

I'm all for disneyland! and cali is close enough for us to drive. That would save some plane ticket money.

I like the idea of Reno again, it was really pretty and it'd be a change. But a lake would be so much fun! I love getting a boat with the family (or...boats since we are so many of us now) and spending time swimming and tubing.
I've never been a fan of roller coasters or rides to wait forever in to ride the roller coaster so Disneyland wouldn't be my first choice, but oh well!
oops, let me fix that. I meant "or waiting forever in a line for a roller coaster"
but there is so much more there than roller coasters!
uhhhh. I dont want to go to Reno....personal reasons and all....actually I guess we could do it just NO MOUNTAIN BIKING I dont think my face could take it! :-)

We would love to go anywhere. Ca would be way fun. Greg even said we could do a one night camping trip at a beach while everyone is here. Just an idea I guess.

And Van, I've told Roy about your AMAZING egg role things that you make. Is there anything I'd be able to do to help prepare those if you decided to make them? I know they are a lot of work but they are sooooooo good!
ha heather! i was going to call Van and ask her if we could help her make them for our sealing because they are gluten free i think and soooo yummy!
Wow, I have been so out of the loop! That's what I get for not checking up on the family blog. CA is a good idea, and I really like Lake Arrowhead. Redlands would be the closest temple, so everyone would have to bring their own temple whites, or we could go to LA or San Diego so people could rent. Or us CA people could ask around in our wards and maybe borrow some temple clothing for everyone. I know Redlands is starting to stock SOME clothes for people, but it is nothing to depend on (hence, no rentals). I hate traffic, so camping at the beach would be nice! Peter always complains we haven't been to the beach together since we've been a couple!! Can you believe that!! We've both been, just not together! I really like the idea of a mountain vacation, but know my allergies will hate it. Everyone bring your Claratin :D We are just so excited next year is our family reunion! I'm excited for more of my brothers to have more bonding time with my hubby :D And I'm excited to spend more time with the Hemmert's too, since they've been in the newly-wed cave as well :D
not as much of a cave as you and Peter, Leighann ;)
And I'm still not used to hearing "the Hemmerts," but it's so awesome! :)
