While we are on this topic of offensive words, I really hope we can address another issue. Yesterday, September 24th, was National Punctuation Day according to the website www.nationalpunctuationday.com (I found out about this holiday through Google, though it already means so much to me).
I have been thinking long and hard about this family's propensity use the word "any-who" to transition their thoughts. As "any-who" was originally used by the Slavic military in their battles against the Chinese to refer to mass murders, I am highly offended by the flagrant use of "any-who" on our family blog. In fact, from now on I think we need to use instead the terms "furthermore", "consequently", "also", etc.
If you insist on continuing to use this highly offensive word, please have the decency to type it as such: "A**-***".
I am sure our Chinese ancestors would appreciate these endeavors.

The Slavs had no right to use my favorite word in such a manner, but in honor of my Chinese ancestors I will battle the hordes that use this word with such indifference.
"In other news" will now be my substitute for "a**-***". I want everyone to know that Leighann spent 10 seconds on this post, and I care about her so I care about this post.
I have tears in my eyes.... and my side hurts..... I am still laughing!
Leighann, that was AWESOME!!
Thank you for bringing this up Leighann!!! Hilarious!
If we are banning words and phrases, might I suggest Tom stop using the "N-word"? Seriously, every time I talk to him on the phone he has to say it at least 10 times.
Okay! I get it! You're a racist! You can tone it down now!
..And don't even get me STARTED with Gwen's rants about the Jews...
I would apologize... but no one really cares about the Jews, right? :-)
You are all crazy and I don't know whose children you are!
Dad wanted me to post -
He finds "retarded" to be offensive and "anywho" to be endearing.
