So, Roy and I called home to talk to mom and dad and found out mom just had another "procedure" done for two big kidney "boulders" (according to dad). You know mom and dad, they won't tell anyone anything unless they are on their deathbed!
They didn't feel the need to put this on the blog, but we feel the family should know what's going on with the people who brought us (or half of us) into this world! So here's what dad told us as the update:
The doctor had to go back up and down mom's urethra about 40 times to get all the stones and make sure they weren't missing anything. There were two really big ones they had to get rid of so this one was pretty hard on mom. She still has the stint in til Thursday, which always bothers her but she feels blessed that she doesn't feel the stones like most people do. Because of the procedure, mom got an infection so they had to up her antibiotics, which made her sick and throwing up, like flu type symptoms. She was in bed for three days. But she IS feeling a bit better and will be teaching seminary tomorrow morning, but we just wanted to let the family know so we can all keep her and dad in our prayers.
I thought about going on Google and finding some nasty picture of HUGE kidney stones cause that's what dad said they were (Huge!) but I figured a post with some nasty rock things isn't what most people want to see when they open up the blog. We'll keep the latest pictures as Tommy on his first day of school :)
Love you all!
