Last night, Roy and I finally got to carve our pumpkins! We had bought them over a week ago intending to do them last weekend but didn't get around to it. It was super messy, but really fun.
Obviously, the picture of Roy and I was done on the pumpkin by Roy, I'm not that talented. I think they turned out great, and we got a ton of seeds from the two pumpkins, which I love to roast!
A few weeks ago, Roy asked me on a date in a super cute way. He wrote a message to me on 100 sticky notes and scrambled them all over the apartment. He did a big "I (heart) U" on the doors of our apartment and when I came home from a long, hard day of school and work, I unscrambled the message to find a cute poem/message asking me on a date for that weekend! Here's some pictures from it.
He said part of the idea came from ElderScott's talk about what he did for his wife with the note he left on punch hole circles. It was so sweet!
Here's a little from our honeymoon in Midway in August. It was so relaxing and fun! We went swimming in a crater, kayaking on a lake (we chased some fish that were eating bugs at the surface. We could get so close to them before they realized we were right behind them), and other fun stuff!

very cute roy with the notes and all, i was all smitten for heather when she sent me the picture of this.
but most importantly... Who knew we had an expert carver in our family! i am going to have to have a talk with aaron about when we have kids moving near you guys so roy can teach us all how to do that! i am super impressed.
