I finally have a chance to blog December and Christmas!

It took a while for me to get this up for you all to see. We went to California for 3 weeks in December to visit my family. We had a good trip with only a couple mishaps. On the way back from the temple with Aaron and Shannon, we had a small car accident and had to get our front bumper replaced on our minivan. Then the next day, I forgot my nice camera in a bathroom near the beach. When we went back for it maybe 20 minutes later, it was already gone. So these are only some of our photos from the trip. We got back to Utah new years day and when we got home, we found a flood in our house. Turns out our heater broke while we were gone and the house got so cold, some pipes in the bathroom froze and broke. So for the last two weeks we were staying with family then friends till we could get enough of the repairs done to move back in. Thank goodness for home owners insurance! There is still more work to do but we at least have a working furnace and running water again. And, hey, we get our house remodeled for free!

Bailey is trying carrots for the first time back in the beginning of December.

We came across a sign for the restroom while tree hunting. See the tin can? the sign has arrows pointing to it. haha!

Rachel is trying to find the perfect Christmas tree to cut down.

We are at Taqueria Vallarta, a really yummy Mexican place in Felton.

My parents watched the girls overnight so we could have some time away. We went to Monterey for the night and stayed at a Victorian bed and breakfast. It was a beautiful sunny day! it didn't feel like winter at all. Definitely warmer than Utah!

We helped the youth of my parent's ward with a food drive while we were visiting. We stood outside the grocery store asking for donations. Rachel did a really good job winning people over with her cuteness. She got the most donations probably.

Bailey and I on Christmas morning.

Santa brought Rachel a new bike.

My brother Jeff helped Bailey open her presents. Of course of all the pictures I took of them, the one where Bailey looks the best, Jeff has a funny face.

He is modeling a new hat, shirt and some magnetic thinking toy called Bucky Balls. you can get them at thinkgeek.com. He is wearing themas a necklace but they can be shaped all different ways.

We are at dennis the menace park in Monterey and Bailey is eating lunch while Rachel plays.

Rachel was really nervous on the climbing wall. She really wanted to get down once she got close to the top.

Carousel at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

What a great time you had (minus the camera and car mishaps). Thanks for sharing - the girls are as cute as always. And, yes, Bippy, you are cute, too!

Wellllllllllll..... do we want to go so far as saying Bippy is cute??? That might be pushing things. :-) However, Mel and the girls, on the other hand, definitely rate a cute! Love,
Dad
