Jacob is Home

Jacob did amazingly well.  Prayers and Priesthood blessings are amazing!  He had a pain button that would give him Morphine every time he wanted it (up to every 10 minutes,) but he only used it about 6 times total!  He complained more about the IV sites than his head. :-)  By 10 this morning (less than 24 hrs after surgery) he was walking around and wanting to go to the playroom, so they took off the morphine button and just let him have regular pain medicine orally.  He had one pill at 12 and didn't need one again until bedtime!  I was so worried about how much this would hurt him and it didn't hardly hurt him at all.  We are so blessed.
They have a Build-A-Bear at the hospital (isn't it great, them feeding off all the sick kids,) and Jacob really wanted one, so, since they gave us a $10 off coupon, I couldn't say no.
We got home at about 8 this evening, ate a late dinner that my visiting teacher brought us, then put the kids to bed.  Jacob was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.  Thank you all for your support.  (If this doesn't make sense, sorry.  I'm a bit tired at the moment.)

I would have given in to the bear too! Nothing is more sad then your kids hurting. So grateful for priesthood. He looks good. We are so glad it went well.
