It looks great! What is a pie table? Is this just for food?

The Relief Society wanted desserts for a meeting that they were having for training or something. Because this is Arlington, they can afford to pay me to make them whatever they want.

Chocolate Ganache is basically just chocolate with cream that sets stiffer than a frosting and is very smooth and creamy. Especially good with raspberries.

A pie table is a table set just for pies. Kind of like a cake table or dessert table for a party.

The photos on your blog are fantastic. Did you also supply the shelves and shutters?

I love the shutters and cloth triangle banner in the background. It really adds a lot. I can't believe you made 40 pies! Wow! Your pie crusts look amazing. It is so hard for me to get pie crusts that look good. (Is that caramel popcorn in the little cups?)

Mom - those are the shutters from the Iowa house. I just painted them. I also got some plywood that Dave cut into squares, painted them and glueguned them on candlesticks from Goodwill. Each one cost about $2.25. The red shelf is from Goodwill too. It was a couple dollars and I painted it. Its sitting on boxes covered with burlap. I made the banners and I want to use them for Jane's "tea party birthday" that she is already planning. I also got the books for height from the library free pile and covered them with brown bags from Trader Joes.

- Gwen: I have a good caramel popcorn recipe that I can share. To get the crusts to look good you need to do an egg wash. Without it the crust will look dull and pale. I also sprinkled a little sugar on top.

....I like to think that, when we enter heaven, one of the first things we see (besides the loved ones who got there first) is a table EXACTLY like this.....mmmm, pie....

Amen Aaron!!!

Heather, how big is your ward that you would need 40 pies? Are these full-size pies, the raspberrries are way too big to be full pies? You are quite the baker!

Anyone in favor of Heather doing this for us at reunion? J/K

They are 40 mini pies about 4" wide. Aaron, if I get to heaven before you, I'll have a table of every single pie you can think of waiting for you.

Wait... Why just Aaron- I love pie! Also- the first time I read Heather's post I thought it said, "If you get to heaven..." Hehe
