Scott did have his glove wired so that it would light itself, but right before the performance, it got a short so he had to use the candle. I think it still worked just fine.
There is a little bit of lighter fluid on top of the tonic water. In one glove he had a pad soaked in lighter fluid it was also ridged to catch fire on it's own, but at the last minute the wires shorted) and in the other glove there was a black light that he ridged to turn on when he held the bottle of florescent tonic water. The lighter fluid floats on the water so it makes cool burning water.

It was tonic water. It fluoresces under black light.

Probably would have looked even cooler if they could have dimmed the lights!
Scott showed us this when he was here and it's so much cooler in person!
