After Sarah visited with Mom and Dad in the beginning of May, she really wanted her own garden. We had some pots in our shed, so she bought potting soil and flower seeds with her own money to make a flower garden on our front porch. She told me all sorts of things that she learned about taking care of plants from Grandpa.
And, in less than one week, three of the four pots are sprouting! (Even the one that our dog dug up before we moved them to the front.)

Grandpa Gibbons is sooooooooooooooooo........ proud of Sarah! She helped me water the indoor plants when she was here and asked a whole bunch of questions. I never dreamed that would inspire her to plant her own flower garden, but sure am glad it did. I hope your garden grows and grows and grows and that you get lots and lots of flowers. I love you Sarah!

That's so cute! It's great when we can see the nieces and nephews taking pride in something they are super interested in and are pursuing. Love you!
That's better than I have ever done! Even when I buy already growing flowers, I kill them within a week. Good job Sarah!
Wow, Sarah! Way to go!!! Having a green thumb will bless you all your life! Maybe someday you can work on a sustainable farm and enjoy the feeling of hard work and ample rewards from your efforts, while the rest of us are stuck in offices all day. I sure wish I had learned from Grandma Cluff when we had her around, so how smart of you to be learning from Grandpa Gibbons!
