Mom & Dad & an old General Conference

the link is in the title. I follow the LDS Missionaries on FB and they had this old 2005 conference talk on couples missionaries I had never seen before. Normally I just read the amazing things they say about it but with the most recent conferences announcement with young missionaries starting at 18 & 19 I felt compelled to watch this and share it with you all because of Mom and Dad starting the process with you guys trying to sell the house. I just wanted to say it’s an amazing thing to have such faithful parents who want to serve and who set that example. I know if it wasn't for a missionary couple teaching me I might not be where I am today. And with you guys being such a great example it has only strengthened Aaron and mine desire to serve as a couple one day. Like Hale was saying it can be scary for us family, esp the younger ones who want mom and dad there for our babies, and it is a sacrifice for all of us to remain faithful and put aside the worries and understand the blessings of parents who serve a mission. So with that said Mom and Dad just keep the faith and hold on to that dream of serving a mission together because while we are all blessed to have you all in our lives whenever we want like right now, I look forward to your coming home and getting to be embraced by loving righteous parents who get to meet grand babies for the first time and heck maybe even meet Anna, Kelsey, and Jacob’s new husbands and wives! Love you all and I hope you had a wonderful conference!

Thank you Shannon, for your very thoughtful comments. I believe you truly understand why Mom and I want to serve and are looking forward to that together. I am making slow but steady progress on writing my book, which is a task I feel I must complete, even if the house were to sell. Our plan, if the house sells, is to return to Arizona to live in and fix up our house there so we can sell it too. That will provide the funds to go on our first mission. Love you Shannon. Dad

Hopefully Jacob will have just ONE wife, and Anna and Kelsey won't have a wife either.... haha just kidding

I loved reading this, Shannon. I'm so so glad you married my brother and have such a strong testimony that strengthens all of ours!
