Whats going on with A & S? This is....

Sorry we have not been interacting with the blog very much over the last month or so… heck even longer if I am honest. But anyway we just wanted to give everyone a little heads up on what is going on with the original MO Gibbons (sorry Dave & Heather, lol) As I am sure many of you remember Aaron had applied for Veterinary College last November. So while we don’t know if he is accepted or not he did hear back that he has his interview (basically a meeting with 3 of the college board members who ask him questions about what he knows about vet medicine and in short his life story). He will be headed to Columbia MO on February 27th and he is very excited. While he is still below average grade point wise it’s not by much, and we all know Aaron can make an impression, so I think he has got a good shot. BTW please send prays our way that day, we need all the blessings, and good energy we can get! One other thing Aaron is selling his plants online at Gibbonsgardens.blogspot.com and its pretty cool! Tommy already says he wants a Hawarthia because they are spikey! As for me, I am in my last semester of college before I student teach, and I love it! I have a group of girl friends who I have grown very close to and we are constantly talking about our classrooms, and how to best help our students. This last year has really amplified my desire to be a teacher, and while its scary to know in 6 months I will be student teaching I am so very excited to do this job. On another note I received a calling at church to be the Laurel Advisor, which is awesome! I really feel like I can connect with these girls because that is the age I became interested in the church. Plus now with young women being able to go on missions at 19 the pressure is on to help build their own testimonies. I just feel so blessed Heavenly Father picked me for this job and I already feel like it’s making me a better person and teacher. Other than those things life has been good for us both! Hope you all know we miss you very much and we already can’t wait for reunion! Love, Shannon & Aaron

Shannon,
Thanks for posting and letting us know the important dates coming up in your lives. We will definitely participate with prayers in your and Aaron's behalf. And we are so proud of your new calling as Laurel Adviser. You will be great at this calling as you can relate to those young women. Love you.
Dad

Also, I would have said the same things Dad did.
