I just opened up my Etsy shop selling my handmade pillows. Check it out at www.janeisa.etsy.com.
I also did a custom pillow for www.vintagerevivals.com. you can see one there. here are a few pictures:
I'd like someone to back me up here please; I told Heather she should call these things "Pillow-strations" (or "Pill-ustrations") since they are pillows with illustrations sketch-sewed on them. She thought it was way too silly sounding, but I think silly puns are a GOOD thing when marketing crafts! ...Pinterest? Right?
Okay, I just got a chance to actually sit down and look at your shop and holy cracker jacks! These pillow cases are super cute! I seriously want a ton of them! ...if only I had the money.
I'm going to pin this on Pinterest. We need to get the word out!
Pillowstrations. I like that name :D Where is the pillow you did for Vintage Revivals? Is it the green one? She should give you a shout out on her blog. In fact, now that you have an Etsy store, maybe you could ask all your blogging friends to help promote it, or even send a free pillow to some big-time bloggers that get a lot of traffic and ask them to show your pillow in one of their designs and link their followers to your page :D
Do you "sign" the pillows at all? They really looks like works of art. How the heck do you do it? Freehand, or does your sewing machine let you upload from a program like Paint, and it does it? Very cool, Heather!
(This is Scott typing) Awesome pillows Heather! I told one of my coworkers about your pillows, she demanded I get her the web address to your store. I sent it to her this morning - hope it generates a sale (or many!) for you!

I agree 100%. Plus it makes it easy to search for and to find.
I agree too, it's fun! And yet, I know exactly what it is when I hear the name! haha
