Here he is in the car driving to the office. Its a long video at 8 minutes but it gives you a good idea what the traffic is like in the city. I was surprised to see how much they share the road with pedestrians and cyclists. People just walk in the middle of the lane and you have to wait for them. at one point there are even a bunch of cows just sitting on the side of the road. watch for them.

I watched the whole thing. About six minutes in when the motorcycles cross right in front of the car, I jumped. That is just amazing! I got the impression that Bippy was not saying anything, about the craziness of the area, out of respect for the driver. Talk about amazing. It made me want to travel and see India with my own eyes.
I am so glad you are posting these Mel.
Very cool stuff. I was just amazed to think about how somehow, in a way I cannot even comprehend, all of these people are known, and deeply loved, by our Heavenly Father. I cannot even comprehend it. It made me appreciate our orderly streets and our knowledge of God so much.
Awesome!
he says that there are several wards there and he is going to try and find a meeting house for sacrament on sunday. I think that would be so neat to go to church in another country and language but still feel at home.
I would not survive that traffic because I NEVER honk my horn!
My road rage would be so intensified there.
Haha, I think it would be so fun to drive there-- what an adreneline rush!! Thank you for posting these videos, Mel!! Wish we all could have the chance to go traveling.
Jill (a family friend in Santa Cruz) went to India a lot for business, and she said the first time after she joined the Church and she went to Sacrament in India, she was amazed at how at home she felt because the meetings were the same, just in a different language. So cool!
So cool! I had the same thought as Tom that our father in Heaven knows each one of us. Thats funny. It seems wrong that the majority of the adults had helmets on while the small children hanging on their backs had no helmet on.
The way the horn is used is exactly like Mexico and also the bike taxis.
