Anna went on a school field trip for 3 days to Catalina and had fun at a science camp. I went with her as a chaperone thanks to my amazing husband who handled everything at home, including sick kids and company! We had fun!

Eel head (above). These eels love squid. The instructor put squid on string with no hook then lifted when the eel ate it. They lived in the tide pools.
Kayaking, Anna and her friend caught on right away how to do it and were amazing! We saw seals while kayaking.

My goodness this looks so cool! Aaron went to catalina for a scouts tcp once and he loved it there! And Magi i am so glad you got to go too! What wonderful memories this will bring!
This is so cool! Anna looks so beautiful in that last picture-- and after living in a tent for three days!?! Must be the Cooper genes, because after one day of camping I look like a complete wreck :P
That is so much fun. I remember my middle school camp-- a lot of fun. And for the kayaking thing-- I always go in circles when I'm trying to kayak, so good for Anna! Is there anything that girl isn't amazing at? :D

That is a great experience! I got to go on a trip to science camp at Catalina when I was in 8th grade so this brings up memories for me. I got to do all that same stuff. I even slept in those same tents. We dissected a squid too then ate the raw eyeballs on a dare. I'm glad you guys had fun. It was fun when I went but it rained half the time.
Man Catalina is the best! It looks like you guys had a ton of fun. When I went it was for scout camp and we didn't get to stay on the pretty side of the island like you.
