If you need a pick me up...

Teachers may be paid crap, but we get our love buckets filled every day from our cute kids! I can really see every day why Christ called the little ones to him and commanded us to be as little children. They are so cute!

So, to lift your spirits, since we pretty much all have busy, stressful lives right now, I wanted to share with you some proverbs my kids came up with today. I did a lesson on proverbs and why we use them, based off of the cute list that's floating around the web that some first graders did a while back ago (here is the link to that, if you don't know what I'm talking about).
So my fifth graders took some well known proverbs and came up with their own endings to them:

A picture is worth....................................a lost memory.
If at first you don't succeed......................give up! Unless it's worth trying again.
A fool and his money..............................are easy to rip off.
If at first you don't succeed.....................YOU'LL NEVER SUCCEED!!
With great power comes..........................great money.
Two heads are better than........................two butts.
Laughter is the best..................................when it's not at you.
It's always darkest....................................before the lights are turned on.
Where there's a well (he changed it from 'will')..................there's Timmy.
If you want something done right, you have to.............get someone else to do it for you.
The grass is always greener on the..........ground.
Where there's smoke, there's...................smelly people.
Hope for the best but...............................it most likely won't happen.
Keep your friends close...........................and your pants closer.
Where there's a will.................................there's a dead guy.
People who live in glass houses..............get stalked.

Roy's favorite (and my close second):

People who live in glass houses.........will have to think about their actions.

And my personal favorite:
One man's trash is another man's..........Hobo home.

Kids come up with the darnest things! :)
Love you all!

My favorite from the link is-
A penny saved is.......... not much.

And from your list-
Where there's a will......... there's a dead guy.

Pretty creative and fun!

I like the will and dead guy one, also :D Here is one I'm submitting that you can tell people one of your first graders wrote:
People who live in glass houses...... shouldn't dance around naked ;D
