GREAT news!!

You may have seen it on facebook already but if not, here's my good news!
I am the new first grade teacher at Cherry Creek Elementary for this coming school year!

The school is in the next town over from Provo; basically the closest town I could get in the Nebo school district to Provo. I love Springville because of that, and because it's the town my school last year was in and being so close was nice. Save on gas money!

I am very grateful for the opportunity to teach again next year, even if it's a grade I feel I know little about and am terrified because of it! I feel like I will need to start all over because I am so used to, and love so much, teaching the upper grade age. But it will be a learning experience!
It was a long process of deciding to still try to get a job for next year (mainly because we need the money, had little to no insurance options without the job, and I wanted to still be doing something with my life before the baby comes) and Roy and I feel certain this is a blessing from Heavenly Father. We know that it will all work out. I got confirmation that our first worry had to be to figure out insurance and our living situation first so we could have this little baby and THEN I could worry about what to do once the baby comes. I am due in January, which is the middle of the school year, so the tentative plan right now is to have the baby, be on maternity leave as long as possible, and then return for the last few months of school so my great new principal won't be left in the dust. Roy has a very possible chance of being able to work from home (his campus job really is a blessing) and we have so much love and support with family and friends here that I'm sure we could figure out what to do when Roy needs to go to class.

Although, ideally, I would love to just stop working once the baby comes and be a stay at home mother from that moment on, at this point we are just not sure if we can afford that. Since it's just a few months, we're thinking it will be okay for me to go back to work (though it will be so hard I'm sure!). But no matter what happens, we trust the Lord with all our hearts and KNOW it will all work out. If this search for a job this summer has taught me anything, it's that the Lord knows what He's doing and I have to trust His timeline and promptings and blessings he chooses to give as Roy and I strive to live the gospel. (How the heck do people live or make decisions in life without the Lord's help or guidance???)

Thank you so much for all your prayers for our little family. Roy and I are still so excited to be parents soon and we both feel much more relaxed now that we can plan and budget better for our future. I will be 16 weeks tomorrow!

This is me at 15 weeks, 1 day. Still not really showing, I feel like. (Sorry for the bad lighting)
