So now that you all know Roy and I are expecting, I can tell you what I'm hoping for work. Long story short, I need to have a job for next year so Roy and I can get an insurance through the district that we'd only have to pay $85 a month for, verses other options that don't really work for us. I've been stressing out about insurance, not understanding all the federal aid programs (as far as we can tell, through all our research, we don't qualify for multiple programs because, gosh darn it, we just make too much darn money!) etc. And I've been worried about if I can actually teach full time and have the baby half way through the school year and figure out what to do with the baby once he or she comes and I'd have to go back to work.
But I've always felt that things would work out. The Lord isn't going to punish us for starting our family or bringing one of his beautiful little spirits to the Earth. It's just been hard to see how it will work out, especially since I keep getting turned down for job after job.
So that's where I need your prayers to come in. I have been waiting to hear back for about 2 weeks now about a position that looked promising (the principal was on vacation, which is why he hasn't been in contact with anyone). But today I looked on the job website and saw an even better opportunity. The job description says:
"3rd Grade Full Time Teacher - For half year only starting August 19, 2013 and will end January 10, 2014. "
It would be at a school I worked in for about a month during my program that is only in the next town over from Provo, making it one of the closest schools I'd be able to teach at in this district. It would end just before my due date, which means I wouldn't have to worry about the principal needing to find a maternity leave sub, and I wouldn't have to go back to work with a new-born child. I could still get onto the district's health insurance easily, and probably not with any added fees since, even though it is only for part of the year, I will be the full time teacher for that part of the year. It's also a grade that I would be interested in (I like the upper grades, but third grade isn't too low to intimidate me, and one of my best friends will be teaching 3rd grade at another school so we could swap lesson plans). And on a side note, I already know the counselor who works there and her and I are good friends, so it'd be nice to know someone at that school already. And we really need to extra money I would get while I taught for those months.
As far as I can see, this looks like the best option that has become available for our growing little family. So I applied for it, emailed the principal to let her know I am really interested in the position, and now am waiting to see if I get an interview. I would really appreciate if you could keep this specifically in your prayers for the next few days at least. I am really hopeful and excited about this opportunity and I'm hoping the Lord agrees!
Love you all, thank you!

I also put your name on the prayer roll Mon at the Nauvoo Temple.
you got em!
Don't tell them why it would be so perfect for you :D And pray the baby decides not to come early-- one week before you're due is a pretty close call I would think!
We'll keep you in our prayers, Heather-weather! Have since the day we found out you were pregnant. My little sister, a mommy-to-be. It still makes me smile!! I love you!!
Better to only have to make them get a maternity sub for a week or two than the whole month or more, though!
Count us in :)
