Hemmert update!

We just wanted to post an update of what's been going on with us lately!

Sorry if they are all out of order. It's too frustrating for me to figure out blogger sometimes. Here are updates about:
  •  decorating our apartment for our first Christmas staying home just us,
  • Bippy and Melissa invited us to decorate their tree with them last Sunday with the girls,
  • We had a RS activity of decorating stockings for kids at a troubled youth center and it was pretty fun! I don't claim to be very creative, but hopefully some kid will like the ones I decorated!
  • And my 34 week pregnancy photo!

Bippy and Melissa gave this to Roy and I our first Christmas married!

They gave us this as well!

Will Santa still come to fill our stockings if it's just us at home this year??

The nativity set Grandma Cluff made. I think of her every day during the holidays.

The little tree Bippy surprised me with last year when he knew how much I wished I could have gone home to pick one out with Dad. Man, Bippy and Melissa sure take care of us!

Silly Roy :)
I'm hoping Melissa will post the better pictures she has on her camera

Silly silly Roy

Sorry it's rotated, I don't know why my phone does this. It's a fireplace and rug
The veggie turkey Roy's mom made at Thanksgiving :)
Only 6 more weeks left! Holy cow!
Since I will be 37 weeks pregnant during Christmas, we didn't want to travel even just the 4 hours to Roy's parents in Wyoming so we are having our very first Christmas in our marriage of being home, just the two of us! We are happy to get this chance to relax and not have to pack up and go anywhere, and we are excited to set our own family traditions. But I will miss being with extended family. Which is why it's fantastic that Bippy and Melissa are staying here this year for Christmas as well, and since her parents can't get off work til after Christmas day, they will be celebrating Christmas on that Saturday. So we've been invited to have a "second" Christmas with them! Gotta love family :)

Hope all is well with everyone, no matter where you are!

Thank you so much for posting Sweetheart! It is so good to see all that the two of you are doing and how much fun you seem to have doing it. Soon two will be three! Mom is already counting down the days until she can fly out to help with the baby. Love you both.

It's nice to see what you guys have been up to. Hearing how much Bippy and Mel do for you guys made me reflect when Heather and I were first married and the amount of stuff and support we got from Tom/Magi and Mark/Van. Family is seriously the best and it's so nice that older siblings help us out so much when were young and poor. Love you guys!!

It's amazing that there is an almost full grown newborn in that belly. You're still so small!

Peter and I are celebrating Christmas at our place, too! This post has inspired me to post pictures of our place-- Peter just hung the lights today :D And I agree with Mel-- you look so thin for being almost due!! Holy moly, you carry that baby well!

Those are great photos! I think having a Christmas at home by yourselves is a great thing.

Aaron and I hope to be able to have a Christmas at home if not next year then the following. Babies are always a great excuse to have family come to you.
