Rachel is an amazing dancer! I hope you don't mind me bragging for a minute. We are soooo proud of her. I might be bias because I am her mom but her teacher always stops me to brag about her. She says Rachel is so talented and better than most of the older girls. She is amazed at how fast she learns and how perfect her technique is on the first try. She wants Rachel to try out for the competition team in August. She had her first recital last night and did a great job.

You know this grandma loves dance! Is it a tap/ballet combo? I couldn't see the shoes very well.

Mom, yeah she did some tap and some ballet. She was soooo good! I was very impressed. She did better than even some of the older girls! I am a proud Aunt :)
Maybe she can do some dancing at reunion to show the rest of the family?
So many dancers in the family that I think we should have a dance recital. Dancers, be prepared!

Rachel takes two classes a week. She takes ballet and jazz/tap. Over the summer she will just do jazz. Her teacher might be discontinuing tap because she hasn't seen much interest in it. Rachel actually likes tap a lot so I hope she will still incorporate some into the jazz class. She is going to try out for the competition team in August and if she gets on it she will then have three, hour long classes a week plus the competitions. She will be really busy with dance. But I think she can do it. She seems to have a real natural talent for it and she loves doing it so I want to encourage her to develop that talent. I am so happy and proud of her! And thank you heather for being such a great influence on her! She loves dance because she started watching you dance when she was just two years old.
This is the coolest!! I didn't even realize Rachel was dancing, and that leap looks amazing!! I couldn't get that high and wide when I was at the peak of my dancing! SO COOL!!
