Sorry, David, I almost missed your birthday.
I truly am quite sorry; what can I say?
I lost track of time; gone is my day,
Can I make it up to you in any way?
You mentioned you wanted a poem
And, although I know it’s probably hokum,
You might find this just to be dumb,
But I’d be remiss not to write some.
I point out wanting a poem is funny,
Like a fairy who rides on a bunny.
‘Twas me, I would’ve asked for money.
Maybe one day you’ll wise up there, sonny.
Although a poem isn’t really manly,
It somehow suits you quite handsomely.
Not saying you’re crazy or homely,
Just funny and silly quite wholly.
Nevertheless, on your big, special day,
I couldn’t figure out any other way,
Without me having to pay,
To tell my brother ‘Happy Birthday!’

Wow,what a talent! How did you ever develop such a aptitude for words Mark? Sure did not get it from your Dad, that's for sure. Happy Birthday again David.
Dad
Haha, LOVE this!!
Haha, LOVE this!!
WOHOO! Ya came through!! LOL I love it, thanks Mark!
(And it made Leighann laugh and love this TWICE!)
My Birthday was awesome, especially thanks to Leighann and Peter! They watched the kids for us and even helped pay for Heather and I's date at Texas Roadhouse! And then surprised me with Cherry Cheese Pie when we went to pick up the kiddies! Best Birthday ever!
:-D
(Scott's poem for David's Birthday)
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
David is awesome,
And I have never really been good at rhyming, or poetry in general, really.
No, really.
Haha I love Scott's poem too. Who else wants to write one? Keep em commin.
P.s. It's a nice touch that Mark put this frilly poem in pink. Good one, brotha.
