It's not 78 degrees here

It snowed pretty heavily (according to our standards) here in Springfield Sunday night and Monday. School was canceled due to the snow and today was my day off. So Leighann and I took this opportunity  to make a snow sculpture. It took us a few hours.
Our neighbor, Elmo, came over and helped us. He is deaf, so we get to use our ASL skills often.
We got our inspiration from this little guy

After working on it for a while we realized that white on white wasn't the best idea.

So we added some color

If it doesn't melt tomorrow, we're going to work on it a little more.

Also, that's our place in the back.
Enjoy your sunny days in California, because you won't get this opportunity very often.

What did you use to color it?? Yellow snow...brown snow... Maybe I don't want to know...

Heather-- we used vanilla extract watered down, and green food coloring and apple cider vinegar. The only food coloring we had was neon colors, so the green does look more yellow though we used up most the bottle.
